Hi all,
Yesterday was the 61st Republic Day of India. A very joyful day for all Indians. Amidst the colorful display of festivities and the brave show of India's military might, the 8 kilometre stretch of road from Vijay Chowk to the Red Fort could be described as a view that shouldn't be missed (well, you can also watch it through an invention called the 'television'.. :P, you need not necessarily have to be present physically at the venue). South Korean President Lee Myung-bak witnessed the parade along with President Pratibha Patil, Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the country's top political and military brass.
The parade venue was under strict vigilance (15000 security personnel, 192 companies of police and paramilitary personnel, high end CCTVs, ground to air security apparatus, the works.....) right from 0830 hours to thwart any kind of terror attempts.
Well, I'm not much of a news reporter, so that's it.
From my side, well yesterday was pretty much the same as any holiday, started working on two sketches (involving my all-time fantasies). Results would come up on Monday next week. And yes, watched the 17th episode of Heroes - Season 4, that's something you people should never miss, if you are hooked on the cable. It airs on CNBC TV, Indian timings unknown. The plot revolves about mutants and their life, the heroism and villainy they encounter and express. Contrary to all such superhero movies we see, where all the heroes have vowed on an eternal path of righteousness, Heroes doesn't go on the same lines. Why should mutants be any different, seeing as they are basically Homo sapiens(Biological term for humans) though the subspecies might differ. They are governed by the same set of emotions and feelings as normal humans. So they are not without flaw, they make mistakes, rejoice at little victories and cry at their losses. A very interesting show overall, a must to watch. For more information, do check out it's section at IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/).
Oh, and by the way, I also exist on Facebook (by the name Signor Kaushik Mohanty) and Orkut (just search for 'biodrome', and click on the profile having the same term in it. My artwork comes up on both the social networking sites.
That's all for the morning part....
Thanks for reading... :)
